Moustafa Al-Mawaldi
Moustafa Al-Mawaldi obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering (Biomechanics and Prosthetics) from the United Kingdom in 1993. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Damascus and serves as Secretary of the Higher Council for Technical Education (since May 2025). He previously held several leadership positions, including Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (2020–2024) and Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department (2013–2017). Dr. [Last Name] chaired the International Conference on Biomedical Engineering in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and led the Organizing Committee of the Faculty’s Student Projects Exhibition (2018–2023). He has published more than 27 peer-reviewed scientific papers in national and international journals.
